Privacy policy

This policy covers the istek app, the istek.dev website and buying istek. The data controller is Istek, Turkey, reachable at support@istek.dev.

The app

istek collects nothing. It has no account, no analytics, no crash reporter and no update or licence checks. The only network connections it opens are to the gRPC servers you type in.

Everything you create stays on your Mac: workspaces, request history and environments are saved as files in your user folder, and metadata values you mark secret are stored in the macOS Keychain. We never receive any of it. Deleting the app and those files removes it.

This website

istek.dev has no analytics, sets no cookies of its own and loads nothing from third parties. Its only script is a few lines on the pricing section that work the team-size buttons; it sends nothing anywhere. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes the technical data any web request carries, such as your IP address and browser, to serve and protect the site. We do not use that data to identify or track you.

Buying istek

Direct purchases are handled by Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record: it takes the payment, handles tax and sends your receipt and download. Dodo collects what a purchase needs, such as your name, email address, billing country and payment details, under its own privacy policy. We never see your card details.

Dodo shares your name, email address, country and order with us. We use them to deliver the app and its updates, to answer support requests and to handle refunds, and we keep them for as long as the law requires us to keep sales records.

If you buy through the Mac App Store, Apple handles the purchase and does not share your identity with us.

Email

When you write to us, we keep the conversation to answer you and to follow up on the problem you reported. We email direct-download customers when a new version ships. We send no marketing email.

Your rights

Under Turkish law (KVKK, Law No. 6698) and, where it applies to you, the EU GDPR, you can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how we use it. Write to support@istek.dev and we will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your data protection authority.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published here with a new date.
